Questions about PICU Online?

  • What browser should I use?

PICU has taken important Security precautions to protect your account. To access your account through PICU Online, you must be using a browser that supports 128-bit encryption. Specifically, our system supports Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 4.0 and higher (4.02 and higher if you're using a Macintosh) and Netscape Navigator versions 4.06 and higher. You can download either browser or get more information from our browser information page. AOL users must be using the 32-bit AOL version 4.0 or higher.

  • What are cookies, and why must I enable them to use online banking?

Cookies are messages that a Web server sends to your browser. Some cookies remain on your hard drive until you delete them. Other cookies, like the ones we use, are stored on your browser only while you’re on the site that issued them.

PICU uses cookies for security purposes. Each time you perform a transaction or view a new page on our secure server, the message is sent back to the server in order to authenticate the request.

  • I’m using a compliant browser, but I experience problems accessing my account.

Please follow the steps listed below to help us resolve your access problems more quickly.

Your browser settings may affect the performance of PICU Online. If you have verified that you are using a compliant (version 4.0 or higher) browser with 128-bit encryption, please use our convenient
browser detection tool . It will check your browser and the security settings that are relevant to the online banking system. If you have access to a printer and fax, please print this page and fax it along with the information listed below to our Member Service Center at 1-???-???-????.

If you do not have access to a printer, please go to the Edit menu of your browser, choose Select All, then select Copy. Finally, start an email message to us at admin@privateinvestorscreditunion.com and paste the browser detection results into the body of the message. Please also include in your email message the information listed below.

Whether you choose to fax or email our Member Service Center, providing us with the following information will help us serve you better:
    1. Your 6-digit member number
    2. The date and time (including time zone) that the problem or last instance occurred
    3. The exact nature of the error or difficulty, i.e., a type of transaction or specific product, whether the problem is consistent or sporadic, etc.
    4. The exact wording of an error message, if any
    5. Your operating system (Ex. Windows 98, Windows NT, Mac OS9, Linux, UNIX, etc.)
    6. Your browser detection results (see instructions above)

  • My PICU Online session occasionally times out. What is causing this?

For security reasons, our PICU Online system will automatically time out if you do not perform any inquiries or transactions for 15 minutes. Simply click on the link provided to return to the log in screen to begin another session.

  • I received an error message, "Your account has been locked-out due to too many incorrect login attempts. Please contact PICU." How do I get back into my account?

As a security measure, our system is designed to restrict Internet access to your account after three incorrect log in attempts. This measure prevents an unauthorized individual from attempting to access your account by randomly entering account numbers and PINs.

If you receive an error message that your account has been locked-out, your account at PICU is still open and active – only your online access is locked.

To restore PICU Online access, simply email a request for a new password.  We will email a new password to you at the email address we have in your member account files.

  • How do I end a session?

Once you have completed all of your transactions, simply click on the option marked Exit in the menu at the top of your screen. It is important to log out properly before visiting another website or closing your browser.
Thank you for choosing PICU!  If you have any other questions or comments, please email us at admin@privateinvestorscreditunion.com.
